Can parents be immature, well?

A group of parents in Corington, Louisiana decide to show their immaturity by dismantling their local Girl Scouts Troop to protect their daughters from a Colorado Troop’s decision to accept an 7 year old girl named Taylor into their ranks, Taylor is a transgendered child. See:

I agree with Doug Barryba the author of the article. These parents’ were more immature then their girls were in this issue.

When are we going to except transgendered persons in our society? In a related article from the Chicago Tribune by Kristin Samuelson one of the Tribune’s reporters. She puts a quote from President John Quincy Adam, “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader,” as quoted by Maria Wynne, CEO of Girl Scouts of Greater Chicago and Northwest Indiana, as she shows off the Girls Scouts museum at the organization’s Gathering Place headquarters in Chicago. I feel sorry for the girls in Corington that they have lost the opportunity to be a better leader in the future, all because their mothers’ immature bigotry.

What do you think?

  1. Asking questions are genuinely pleasant thing if you
    are not understanding anything entirely,
except this post provides nice understanding yet.

  2. I think it’s sad that people can alienate each other this way. Where’s the love and compassion?
